In January 2021, V-Silicon was awarded ‘Annual Emerging Company’ by China Semiconductor Investment Alliance Association. On July 6th, the company's first FHD smart TV SOC was back and lit up. It was expected to be formally introduced into mass production in the fourth quarter. Up to now, V-Silicon has completed two rounds of fundraising with over US$45 million.
In September 2020, V-Silicon Semiconductor (Shanghai) Co., Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary, was established. And V-Silicon received financing of millions of dollars.
In February 2019, V-Silicon changed from a wholly foreign-owned company to a sino-foreign joint venture and entered the "Tianqi Innovation" space of High-tech Group. V-Silicon received a total investment of USD 20 million led by Linxin Fund.
In October 2018, V-Silicon Semiconductor (Hefei) Co., Ltd. was established via the complete acquisition of TV assets of Sigma Designs (SIGM), a former Nasdaq listed company.
